Description Mustafa Ahmed 2024-06-17 21:23:30 UTC
Rebuilt the kernel with an existing config from 6.9.4 and didn't notice anything wrong, until the next day when I resumed after suspending overnight.
Some execs like vim were segfaulting, whereas rsyng was giving bogus errors. This only happened with execs compiled with zen4 flags. I tested the same execs for a different CPU (Skylake) on the same CPU and no segfault.

No new hardware attached.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run 6.9.5 kernel on ryzen
2. suspend
3. resume

Gentoo doesn't make any changes to the vanilla sources, so hopefully you've reported this upstream. We need at least an 'emerge --info' for the Gentoo side.

I wonder what's in the segfault
