Edit a file via scp:
vim scp://user@host//path/to/myfile

Now, try to save the file with :w. An E13 error is returned. The system
attempts to write to the local tmp file and not the remote file.

Comment 1 Ciaran McCreesh 2005-05-28 01:12:53 UTC
What kind of authentication?
Comment 2 Neil Watson 2005-05-28 04:52:18 UTC
Password or key pair.
Comment 3 Ciaran McCreesh 2005-05-28 04:58:32 UTC
Hrm. Does it work if you use console vim rather than gvim?
Comment 4 Neil Watson 2005-05-28 05:10:01 UTC
No difference except that password authentication is broken when using gvim.
Comment 5 Ciaran McCreesh 2005-08-05 13:32:41 UTC
I'm afraid I can't reproduce this.
