Description Alan McNeil 2005-05-19 16:42:29 UTC
Running: Linux spike 2.6.11-gentoo-r6 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.60GHz
GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

This machine has never had gkrellm on it before. The /etc/gkrellm.conf file
suggest (at bottom):
(a) Use "gkrellmd -plist"
(b) Use "gkrellmd -plog"
So I did and segfaulted.

spike etc # gkrellmd --plog
Segmentation fault
spike etc # uname -a

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install gkrellm on clean machine
2. at shell: gkrellmd --plog (or -plog)

Actual Results:
Segmentation Fault

Expected Results:
no output or error message about there being no plugins installed yet.

Note that the --help says the two options are "--plist" and "--plog" both with
TWO minuses AND there is a "-p" option. Allowing -plist to work is ambigious.

Alan, how does gkrellm-2.2.7 work for you in this regard?
Comment 5 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-19 03:14:12 UTC
Please, go try w/ 2.2.7 and 2.2.9-r1 and report back.
