Description Sjan Evardsson 2005-05-19 16:32:25 UTC
Tried emerge -uD world, the first package the system tried to build was
linux-headers-2.6.11 which failed (messages follow). Then tried emerge
=sys-kernel/linux-headers-2.6.8.1-r2 thinking it might be a problem with just
2.6.11 - the result was the same (as shown below in results)

It seems like something is calling
/var/tmp/portage/linux-headers-2.6.8.1-r2/work/linux-2.6.8.1/scripts/gcc-version.sh
with an argument of i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc rather than just gcc (or whatever the
actual call should be)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -uD world (or system or gcc or gentoo-sources)
2.
3.

Actual Results:

if i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc doesnt work, then something is broken on your system

you should run `gcc-config` and see if that helps
Comment 2 Sjan Evardsson 2005-05-20 10:28:36 UTC
That's exactly the right thing - sorry for the bother.
