I am unable to install imagemagick-6.2.2.3. I get the following error. I looked at sourceforge and there is a 6.2.2.4, but no 6.2.2.3 (try: 3) => `/usr/portage/distfiles/ImageMagick-6.2.2-3.tar.bz2' Connecting to voxel.dl.sourceforge.net[69.9.164.2]:80... connected. According to sourceforge, there is no ImageMagick-6.2.2-3.tar.bz2 anymore, but only a ImageMagick-6.2.2-4.tar.bz2 .
This mirror is broken - I can
This mirror is broken - I can´t even connect to it. Can be downloaded normally from other SF mirrors.
Whoops, forgive my redundancy earlier. The problem doesn't seem to be a single mirror. Sourceforge doesn't allow files put up for download to be removed, but it does allow them to be disabled, at which point they're invisible. It appears that this project only shows one single, current release in a version. So it does not seem to be a mirroring issue per se; they've disabled the -3 in favor of the -4.
Hmm, I tried about 7 mirrors from http://www.imagemagick.org/script/download.php and all worked. So maybe we should not download from SF. ;-)
Maybe the 6.2.2-3 ebuild should be designed to download from the ImageMagick mirrors instead of sourceforge, or the ebuild should be updated to 6.2.2-4. Doesn't manually downloading software kinda defeat some of the purpose of emerge? --13:21:35-- http://voxel.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/imagemagick/ImageMagick-6.2.2-3.tar.bz2 (try: 5) => `/usr/portage/distfiles/ImageMagick-6.2.2-3.tar.bz2' Connecting to voxel.dl.sourceforge.net[69.9.164.2]:80... connected. ImageMagick-6.2.2-3.tar.bz2 should hit our mirrors in 4 hours. Sorry for the delay.
Still get the same error >>> Downloading http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/imagemagick/ImageMagick-6.2.2-3.tar.bz2 --13:27:26-- http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/imagemagick/ImageMagick-6.2.2-3.tar.bz2 => `/usr/portage/distfiles/ImageMagick-6.2.2-3.tar.bz2' Resolving heanet.dl.sourceforge.net... 193.1.219.87, 2001:770:18:2::1:2 Connecting to heanet.dl.sourceforge.net[193.1.219.87]:80... connected. It's unavailable on sf.net servers, but our mirrors have copy of that file, e.g.: http://trumpetti.atm.tut.fi/gentoo/distfiles/ImageMagick-6.2.2-3.tar.bz2
Why is the SRC_URI not being changed to reflect the fact that it should look in gentoo mirrors and not sourceforge?
