I tried this for both openoffice-ximian-1.3.10 and openoffice-1.1.4. As it came out, openoffice goes well, yet the ximian variant fails to place the javarc file. Note that no error was reported. Just saw a new version, without this problem being solved, but I'll update anyway. Just to be sure. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start with a useraccount without .(x)openoffice/1.1.4/user/config/javarc 2. run /opt/[openoffice]/program/jvmsetup 3. see if javarc is there Actual Results: ~/.openoffice/1.1.4/user/config/javarc is there. ~/.xopenoffice/1.1.4/user/config/javarc isn't there. Expected Results: ~/.xopenoffice/1.1.4/user/config/javarc being there.
forgot to mention clearly that I ran both /opt/Ximian-OpenOffice/program/jvmsetup and /opt/OpenOffice.org/program/jvmsetup
Just got a message on the forum (http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=2671663) that the configuration is saved under ~/.openoffice rather than ~/.xopenoffice. Thanks to "gam". This should help in fixing the bug. ;-) R .Bosch
This problem should be resolved with app-office/openoffice-2.0.0, please upgrade to this
