Description Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2024-04-22 14:15:46 UTC
With the changes introduced with bash-5.2_p26-r1 it looks like that other files in /etc/bash/bashrc.d/ are not used/sourced.

In the specific, I have a file as /etc/bash/bashrc.d/PS1 and with the update I didn't get it sourced.

I tried to put some echo in the bashrc files and for me it is hanging here:

but I can be wrong.

You need a .bash or .sh suffix, per https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/tree/app-shells/bash/bash-5.2_p26-r1.ebuild#n388.
