I hope I am filing this request in the right way here: Please keep freerdp:2 around for a while. Why: freerdp:3 has become stable in portage. Wayland users need to use sdl-freerdp now instead of wlfreerdp which has some open issues though. (1) /kbd:remap:... is not implemented for sdl-wayland yet. Se all open issues to be fixed for the next release (3.6?) here: https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/milestone/48 (2) Security treatment seems to have changed so that "host key verfication" cannot be ignored/accepted on the fly as priviously. There might be more breaking changes with sdl-freerdp.
You've done nothing wrong by filing the bug, but FWIW, freerdp is slotted for a reason (we don't tend to do that if we think something is short-lived) and a bunch of packages still depend on it even.
