mmtc (https://github.com/figsoda/mmtc) is a "Minimal mpd terminal client that aims to be simple yet highly configurable". I'd wish it was available in Gentoo via an ebuild, wether in the stable tree or in an overlay.
Created attachment 889670 [details] sample ebuild for mmtc-0.3.2 pycargoebuild and a few minutes made this, but I don't use mpd so I didn't test it much at all other than "it seems to build and install and my laptop is not emitting smoke" Anyone may use this for any purpose, but I don't really plan on maintaining it or anything.
