Current upstream: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/gamin
It's crusty project haven't been supported since 2007 and was mostly superseded since by calls to fanotify.
It also apparently was dependency of glib, but that was dropped in 2022: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/releases/2.73.0
Current in-tree users are codeblocks' file manager plugin and sci-electronics/geda, both are USE-dependent.
