During the transition from desktop profile 17.1 to 23.0 media-libs/mesa failed to emerge as part of the world update. I also tried: $ emerge -atuv media-libs/mesa Performing Global Updates (Could take a couple of minutes if you have a lot of binary packages.) .='update pass' *='binary update' #='/var/db update' @='/var/db move' s='/var/db SLOT move' %='binary move' S='binary SLOT move' p='update /etc/portage/package.*' /var/db/repos/steam-overlay/profiles/updates/4Q-2012. /var/db/repos/steam-overlay/profiles/updates/4Q-2020. /var/db/repos/steam-overlay/profiles/updates/1Q-2013. These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order: Calculating dependencies... done! Dependency resolution took 7.77 s (backtrack: 0/20).
