Description jospezial 2024-03-22 11:14:51 UTC
Happens on random packages when requesting the log.

for example:
https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/log/x11-base/xwayland/xwayland-9999.ebuild

"Error 503 first byte timeout

first byte timeout
Error 54113

Details: cache-fra-eddf8230071-FRA 1711104682 1154224748

Varnish cache server"

It is always cache-fra-... and it seems the cache is to slow.
The log is sometimes finally delivered after a few refreshes.
The problem exists since some years.

Why are on https://infra-status.gentoo.org/ some exclamation marks but no further info why?

I have blocked abusive clients from the CDN endpoint:
- All of Alibaba Cloud
- Bytespider User-agent.

These were collectively responsible for >90% of traffic.

Problems are sporadically back.
