Hey, this has come up every now and then: a neat new feature would be to make subslots world-recordable. So people could pin subslots to world-file. For example: app-containers/lxd:0/lts would only allow updating 0/lts lxd's. https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/app-containers/lxd So 5.0.2 would update to 5.0.3 even in ~unstable system. We have some packages that use "fakeslotting" to get past this: nginx and firefox come to mind. That's not how slots should be used and we don't want more packages to adopt this style either. But currently 0/lts is annoying to users because they need to resort to package.masking, instead of it just working in a world-file.
