Have a look at https://www.gentoofan.org/gentoo/poly-c_overlay/sys-apps/iproute2/ and the patches. Something is strange with the EGIT_REPO_URI="https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/shemminger/iproute2.git" cloning works, but in a browser I see "No repositories found" And it is not in the list of https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/shemminger/ The HOMEPAGE="https://wiki.linuxfoundation.org/networking/iproute2" suggests the GIT repositories: git.kernel.org/pub/scm/network/iproute2/iproute2.git or https://github.com/iproute2/iproute2.git
