Version 1.165.0 of rclone introduced support for Proton Drive which is not present in the newest version in the Portage tree (1.163.1) https://rclone.org/downloads/ Reproducible: Always
It should have been 1.65.0. And, the latest is 1.66.0 as of now.
This situation is rather complicated. The package basically is unmaintained. The last maintainer (Piotr Karbowski, slashbeast) dropped themself as a maintainer last August. Jason Zaman (perfinion) hasn't touched the package since 2021, and hasn't been active on Gentoo since late February. Also, there have been fixed security issues since what is currently in tree. I do think this qualifies as a maintainer timeout and we should be move forward by looking for a proper and long-term solution. I would volunteer to create a pull request on GH but due to the unique packaging guidelines for go packages in Gentoo (keyword "vendor tarball"), it would probably not get accepted since I am not a known/trusted source for that. Since many use restic in combination w/ rclone (and due to the fixed CVEs), I hope we can find a solution soon(ish), so that this package hopefully not does not end up as maintainer-needed and eventually get tree cleaned. :-(
(sorry for the errors in my last comment, I accidentally posted *sigh* before I was finished proof-reading)
Jason Zaman seems to be getting retired from Gentoo (see relevant bug #516504).
Created attachment 891936 [details] rclone-1.66.0.ebuild This built for me, not sure how to test really. Uses the vendor tar ball they upload with each release.
it works for me Thanks
