http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/NetworkManager/configure.in?view=log#rev1.75 2005-05-03 Dan Williams <dcbw@redhat.com> * Kill dhcpcd. We now use "dhcdbd", a dbus daemon that controls dhclient. This means that NetworkManager shouldn't have DHCP issues anymore. It also means you need dhcdbd, which you can get here (get the latest one): http://people.redhat.com/jvdias/dhcdbd/ Technically NetworkManager can use any DHCP daemon that uses the same DBUS interface as dhcdbd. At least, on my system, without dhcdbd NetworkManager dies repeatedly. Apologies if this is the wrong place for this bug.
is now in the dev.cardoe.com svn overlay
fixed in gentopia overlay
dhcdbd does not work for me, it doesn't get an ip address from my dhcp server. It works well with dhcpcd... Why?
forgot to add that there is not *any* traffic on the eth0 device when using tcpdump -i eth0
