forum is slow and I get this error

Reproducition steps:

1. Browse to any page under forums.gentoo.org

It does seem rather intermittent.  At the time of confirming this report, it took >20 seconds to load any pages, and sometimes it would not load at all and instead produce:


phpBB : Critical Error

Error clearing sessions table


Right now things seem mostly OK for me, but I can still see it happening from time to time.

I have changed the session cleanup to be once every 5 minutes instead of every single request.
