Description Jonas Jonsson 2005-05-12 10:22:40 UTC
Updated bzip2 from 1.0.2-r3 to 1.0.3 then all apps that depend on libbz2.so.1.0 broke... It is just a symlink that is missing when installing...

[Solution]
Just add the missing symlink
in /usr/lib
ln -s libbz2.so.1.0.3 libbz2.so.1.0

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Here is the emerge bzip2...
Comment 3 Jonas Jonsson 2005-05-13 11:25:31 UTC
Hmm... Everything looks alright here

>>> /usr/lib/libbz2.so.1.0.3
>>> /usr/lib/libbz2.so.1 -> libbz2.so.1.0.3
>>> /usr/lib/libbz2.so.1.0 -> libbz2.so.1.0.3

Don't know why that symlinks didn't got created when I installed the first time.
The only thing I can think of is that it was removed by the old bzip2..
