Hi,

sys-apps/baselayout-1.11.11-r3 and net-mail/mailbase-0.00-r8 provide /etc/pam.d/imap. Here is the output of mailbase emerge:

>>> emerge (3 of 5) net-mail/mailbase-0.00-r8 to /

!!! Function pkg_setup, Line 50, Exitcode 0
!!! Can't be installed, files will collide
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

/etc/pam.d/imap is in my current installation provided by baselayout.

this is also related to bug #79240.

net-mail/mailbase-1 doesn't fix this problem.

mailbase provides /etc/pam.d/imap for all imap mail packages to avoid file collision. Please remove /etc/pam.d/imap from baselayout. Thanks.
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2005-05-12 11:06:28 UTC
in fact we should pam all together from baselayout
Comment 3 Martin Schlemmer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-12 14:34:06 UTC
We already do in latest baselayout (1.12.0_alpha*) ... guess we forgot to backport that.
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2005-05-12 18:38:57 UTC
fixed in rc-scripts cvs and in portage
