Comment 1 Martin Wegner 2005-05-12 04:59:52 UTC
I could make it to get thunderbird running now: The trick was to disable ccache. Tell me how I can give you more hints what exactly caused this. Virtually, ccache should be safe to use, shouldn't it?
Comment 2 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-12 05:24:15 UTC
Hmmm, maybe `emerge mozilla-thunderbird >& log` with/without ccache, but that
Comment 3 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-12 05:24:15 UTC
Hmmm, maybe `emerge mozilla-thunderbird >& log` with/without ccache, but that´s going to be huge, so don´t attach until some of the devs actually requests it. But you can study the output meanwhile. :-)
Comment 4 Jory A. Pratt 2005-05-12 09:44:20 UTC
emerge strace and then run strace "thunderbird" and attach that log that will be more helpful then anything in finding out why it is crashing with ccache.
Comment 5 Martin Wegner 2005-05-13 09:15:27 UTC
Sry, but I'm no longer able to track this issue down because I decided not to use ccache any longer. Thx for all help though.
