Discovered on: amd64 (internal ref: tinderbox_musl)

This looks suspicious and also cropped up in some other reports. Perhaps the testing container is too limited? I can't reproduce the hang, but I also don't see this warning.

the test happens on a chroot that have no limitations compared to the host
