dmesg output after error state

Occasionally get this unrecoverable error when screens are allowed to dim/sleep. Full dmesg captured (flooded with messages, bootup no longer retained). This is on a laptop with an RX7900M GPU and Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU with the built-in GPU disabled in the BIOS to get partial support for the RX7900.

Also of note:

using sys-kernel/linux-firmware-20240115-r1
using media-libs/mesa-23.3.4

As suggested upstream, can you try to add amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x10 to your kernel command line ?
Comment 4 Richard Ostrow 2024-01-28 15:18:33 UTC
Adding that line to my kernel command line now, will see if it happens again

Anything to report here ?

Nothing new... has not repeated after adding the line. What does that line do?

It disables Panel Self Refresh. Can you add your results to the upstream bug, please ?

We're watching the upstream bug and will backport any fixes identified
