When saving Open Office write files my wife's machine started displaying 16 error messages when attempting saves files. It happens on old or new OO Write files. The error message is in a dialog box and says: ERROR LOADING BASIC of document file///usr/lib/0001.1/share/basic/launcher/script.xlb/: General Error General input/output error There are apaprently 16 error messages. She says OK to all 16 and then the file saves correctly. This apparently started about a week ago. She told me about it this morning. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create OO write file 2. Edit 3. Attempt to save 4. Say OK 16 times to different messages. Actual Results: As above Expected Results: Used to just save, still should. dragonfly ~ # emerge -pv openoffice-bin These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies ...done! Did you have OOo manually installed on this machine? Was an upgrade to a newer version done in the meantime? Anyway, can't reproduce that. Looks like the user install is messed up, so delete ~/.openoffice and ~/.sversionrc and try again, this way you will have to redo your settings, but everything should work fine again.
OK, I erase only .sversionrc and tried a test case. I did not get the error. She's not around right now so I'll test this more with her later today. Thanks!
ok, closing, thanks for reporting back
Final report. My wife checked out things whe she got home. Everything is working well. Thanks!
