Similar here. I do not know what this command is exactly expected to do on a Gentoo system. 

Please report upstream ideally with a hint how to collect the data on a Gentoo system. Please test it also if it works with different overlays.

I assume, given the output, that it's a list of repositories like on any system. I don't think it's specific to Gentoo, is it? i.e. I don't get why it would be different on Gentoo to any other distro.

(Just how it collects the data.)
