It has come to my attention, that should I wish to install fortune-mod with potentially offensive fortunes, it is necessary to modify the specific ebuild to enable them. One would assume, due to the flexability of the portage system, that it would be possible to add an 'offensive' flag that will either cripple or refuse to install a package if this was not enabled. This usage could be extended not only to encompass not only fortune-mod, but a host of other programs that have the potential to be offensive to users, for example refusing to install the kernel source due to the gratuitous profanities within it. I thank you for your consideration of this, Darke (Who really, really, REALLY thinks he's been writing too many formal reports at work and needs one of these :) here, just to make sure people don't take him _too_ seriously. *grin*)
Darke, first, please shoot your browser. :P second, as far as I know, the fortunes-mod is the only package that has any profanity in it. One package won't qualify to have its own USE setting, unfortunately. When we have local USE variable ability, this will be reconsidered.
I would, except this is the only text input area that I've had problems with. All other forums, etc I've tried work fine, so I guess it's a weird bugzilla interaction with konqueror. But as to the response, I suspected as such. *grin* Thanks anyway.
