Bug 91779 – dev-perl/Event-0.87 not found on mirrors or gpan

Attempting to emerge dvdrip (+cdr +gnome) gives Event-0.87.tar.gz as a dependency, and the required file is no longer present on any of the mirrors (I had to manually track it down and find it).  Errors as follows:

Also, gtkperl.org (required for another dependency) could not be reached all of yesterday and today, although this may just be a blip :)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge dvdrip, with the +cdr +gnome options
2. Observe that Event-0.87.tar.gz from cpan is a dependency
3. Observe that retrieval of the file always fails as it is not present on the cpan mirrors.

Actual Results:  
emerge of dvdrip fails.

Expected Results:  
Grab Event-0.87.tar.gz from another source, or perhaps use the updated version
of Event.

this is on distfiles now (though we should be unmasking the ones that *are* still available upstream soon).
