As explained there https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-8807537.html#8807537 on one machine, plasma-pa volume (and mute) sliders have no effect. It looks like it doesn't communicate at all with pipewire. I verified all what I could, but can't find any solution and I add no answer on the forum. Any idea of what I could try else please?

But you should have a look to the link I gave. You would have these infos and a lot of more.

You could try to diff /etc/portage between the two machines. Some other random questions which come to mind: - Do you have apulse installed on either of them? - Do you have any stale 'alsa' or 'pulse' entries in /etc/portage? (grep -rsin ...)

I've already spent an awful lot of time finding out what's wrong, and it's because I can't find that I'm here.

I finally found it. I had to replace: "tcp:4713" by { address = "tcp:4713" client.access = "unrestricted" } in /etc/pipewire/pipewire-pulse.conf.d/server_access.conf I don't understand at all why I had to do that, and I hadn't to do it on the other machine. I never found anything about this problem on internet.
