Additionally, the ebuild is still using EAPI7, rather than 8

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -a supercop
Actual Results:  
The package should be reasonably up-to-date.

Expected Results:  
Package was last update 3 years ago.

It looks like the supercop referenced in this bug is different from the supercop referenced in the ebuild (ebuild references https://github.com/monero-project/supercop). The GitHub repo was last updated 3 years ago (in commit 633500a, referenced in the ebuild).

Yes, it looks like dev-libs/supercop in GURU has the same name by coincidence, it is not related to the link you added.
