Great info and a patch set here:
http://www.qtforum.org/thread.php?sid=&postid=49056#post49056

warning: patch did not fully work for me, I had to manually patch the files in
mkspecs/mac-g++)

I have committed an update to qt-3.3.4-r6 that definitely works on my box. Had
to get patches from here and there, and roll some of my own, but it installs a
working qt-x11 without on my machine. Please `emerge --sync && emerge qt`.
If it doesn't work, please re-open this bug and post error details.

I also have a working ebuild for qt-mac-3.3.5-snapshot-20050713 (which supports tiger out of the
box), as well as a pachted version qt-mac-3.3.4, but it's not ready for prime time
yet, as we don't have a fixed solution for installing .app files (almost there, but it's going to be a while
still).

Unless someone can find a way for them to nicely coincide, qt-mac and qt-x11 will be mutually
exclusive (once qt-mac is in the tree, that is).
