Description Andy Neitzke 2005-05-06 09:41:37 UTC
I can't emerge kimdaba-2.1 -- emerge downloads the whole file but seems to think it has not gotten everything; it then tries again, with the message

>>> Resuming download...
>>> Downloading http://ktown.kde.org/kimdaba/download/kimdaba-2.1.tar.bz2
--12:24:26--  http://ktown.kde.org/kimdaba/download/kimdaba-2.1.tar.bz2
           => `/usr/portage/distfiles/kimdaba-2.1.tar.bz2'
Resolving ktown.kde.org... 131.246.103.200
Connecting to ktown.kde.org[131.246.103.200]:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable

Continued download failed on this file, which conflicts with `-c'.
Refusing to truncate existing file `/usr/portage/distfiles/kimdaba-2.1.tar.bz2'.

!!! Couldn't download kimdaba-2.1.tar.bz2. Aborting.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge kimdaba
Actual Results:
the process aborts as described above

Expected Results:
it should have compiled kimdaba

After copying the ebuild to a portage overlay and making the digest myself it
seems to work fine.

It seems the tarball was changed a bit after the release, it's really annoying when it happens... the digest should be fixed now.
