As stated adding some of the more modern languages and runtime/tools could be beneficial to Gentoo overall to bring its compatibility up to par with other bleeding edge distros (ie arch,etc). This includes things like the dart sdk, swift toolchain, and more as well as adding new runtimes, especially for things like js as the creation of the zig-based bunjs ebuild could be really useful, also implementation of the deno (rust-based) js runtime could be intriguing. Overall this is just a request for more ebuilds centered around more modernish languages. Reproducible: Didn't try
I agree, that it is always nice to have more packages. However I have to close this ticket as it is rather a general statement and not a ticket about a specific package. Until we have these in the tree, you can find dart on Overlays https://gpo.zugaina.org/dev-lang/dart-bin You can search also for other packages there.
