When using distcc, compile phase fails for several packages, including x11-libs/libxcb. In a few cases, including libxcb, build log output contains text such as "relocation R_X86_64_PC32 against symbol" "can not be used when making a shared object" "recompile with -fpic" These packages compile locally without error, so I have worked around by creating a per-package package.env entry like "x11-libs/libxcb nodist_features.conf" where /etc/portage/env/nodist_features.conf contains -- #
