This is a request to include the video4linux v2-api patch to gentoo-sources! It is well tested and only adds the v4l2 API, not any drivers or anything else.. It applies cleanly to gentoo-sources-2.4.19-r9 with only a #6 line offset on ksyms.h and works great. It is also backwards-compatible with v4l v1. It's found here: http://bytesex.org/patches/v4l2-api-2.4.19.diff and is required to compile any v4l2-driver such as bttv v0.8.x, which is turn is required for stable VBI (Teletext, Closed Caption etc) support for TV-tuners.. Here you can also find versions for post-2.4.19-kernels: http://bytesex.org/patches/2.4/ // Per Wigren

in the latest lolo-sources, please test.
I just tried this, and the kernel compiled fine, but I could not get bttv 0.9.2 or 0.9.3 to compile against it.
In the latest jazz.
