the 64-bit eclass really doesnt detect 64bit very well which is why we're killing it

the latest blas ebuild needs to do some toolchain detection to see whether it is a 64bit or 32bit compiler and then disable fortran that way

Anybody willing to take care of this bug? It has been labouring for quite some time. The detection code used in dev-lang/R should work OK if I remember correctly.

why dont you just copy the tests from dev-lang/R
