Description Lloyd 2023-10-01 08:44:25 UTC
The feature cgroup was removed in Portage 3.0.50 but is allways shown in make.conf manpage. Look here:

https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1164643-highlight-cgroup.html
https://devmanual.gentoo.org/eclass-reference/make.conf/index.html

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
When it is used emerge returns an error messages because of an unknown keyword, nothing more.

Severty: outdated documentation.

Uh, wait. It's not actually in the real Portage's make.conf man page.

It's on whatever the devmanual has - which appears stuck in Nov 2021...?
Comment 2 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2023-10-01 09:03:08 UTC
The page was regenerated from make.conf(5) today:

| This document was created by man2html, using the manual pages.

It is not the devmanual's fault when the machine hosting it is stuck with Portage version 3.0.44. Reassigning to infra.

Should be upgraded on the machine now. Need to wait for the cron job to regenerate the pages.

make.conf update time: March 2023, which corresponds to the current
version of Portage.
