I recently added mathjax-3.x to the tree, a project that is currently bundled with notebook-7.x. It's not easy to unbundle because notebook's build/release process minifies all of its javascript into giant blobs. But I figured it was worth mentioning in case someone knows how to disentangle the mess but couldn't before mathjax-3.x was available in ::gentoo.
