When opening a new window focus remains with the old window. This is very annoying because any commands (typing in the address bar, closing the window) are processed not by the wrong window. Works fine here. Your WM/DE settings is probably somehow interfering with it.
Thanks for checking, I had not considered that possibility. I am using xfce, but I am also experiencing a problem where xscreensaver fails to lock the screen for unknown reasons.
I reset my xfce session and config and it solved the issue.
