smtp-vilter is a content filter (milter) for Sendmail. This ebuild works good but makes a lot of assumptions, specifically that SpamAssassin and ClamAV will be used for UCB and virus filtering. Also it appears that the diropts/install combination in src_install() preempts the creation of the user/group and the directory is not created right. The init script is probably unclean in its functions, and chrooting is disabled since I didn't have time to made sure it worked right. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 57971 [details] smtp-vilter ebuild v1.1.9
Created attachment 57972 [details] smtp-vilter conf.d file for 1.1.9
Created attachment 57973 [details] smtp-vilter init.d script for 1.1.9
I'm sorry to bring bad news, but we currently lack an active sendmail-loving developer, so this one doesn't have big chance to make it into portage, until things change.
Changing priority to enhancement. Cheers, Ferdy
Andrea, you might want to have a look at this one.
I'll take a look at it.
Upstream seems to be gone. Will close this bug as WONTFIX in 30 days unless both I am proven wrong on this and someone volunteers to maintain this package, as either normal or proxied maintainer.
