Does the same problem occur on mono-1.1.7? Thanks.
I hadn't seen the release (masked 1.1.6-r1 and above), thanks for the heads-up. 1.1.7 compiles fine. Looks like the problem is fixed.
I was able to emerge 1.1.7 and 1.1.8 on AMD64 without issue. Just tried the new 1.1.8.1, and got the same error reported in this bug, but in a different location. Guy: This is a completely different failure. Please refrain from adding new and different failures to already closed bugs. In particular, bug# 96719 has been opened which is tracking the very problem you are having. Please follow that bug, thanks.
Guy: Sorry for the comment, got my bugzilla emails confused, and didn't check the top of this bug report well enough. No excuse. Anyway, looks like this has re-surfaced with 1.1.8.1 for some reason, let still track on that other bug since it has a few people CCed on it. Thanks.
