Description Tim Haynes 2005-05-03 03:57:50 UTC
Please remove rsync1.uk.gentoo.org (ie 62.197.40.130) from all rsync.europe.gentoo.org for the next fortnight or so.

We are having serious load-related hardware stability issues, and given the load-restrictions I've had to impose, the rsync service would suffer (17% maxconns rejection - I would rather provide no service than a half-baked one).

I will update when we can be re-added back to the pool.

Thanks,

~Tim

Tim,

I have removed you from all DNS rotations. Good luck with that hardware. We look forward to adding you back into rotation once its fixed!

Regards,
Jeffrey

We think we've solved the problem - a kernel instability with page-faulting
under heavy CPU load, *maybe* related to ACPI and 3ware drivers: a new .config
and very latest 2.6.11-rwhatever and my normal tricks to reproduce it are no
longer causing kernel panics.

So... please put us back in the rotation! :)

Cheers,

~Tim

Hello? We're still only receiving the same number of hits/day as when we were
out of the loop, 2 weeks on ... please put us back in DNS

Apologies on the long delay, I have added you back into the rsync.europe.g.o
rotation.
