hake.hppa is a HP c3600 server hosted at OSUOSL, specifically it's the *last* Gentoo system that is in the DMZ room rather than the rack space. The physically adjacent rack to the existing Gentoo rack has become partially available, and it would very-nice to have to move the system: - fixes the serial console problem (the cable extension never worked 100%, and we don't have a separate console server in the DMZ anymore) - gives us PDU control to remotely cycle power if needed. To do this, we need to convert it to a rack-mount system. The original datasheet mentions a rack-mount kit http://www.alimartech.com/pdfs/hp_c3600_ds.pdf but it does not include a part number. Step 1: locate the part number Step 2: locate a source for the kit Step 3: purchase/ship If we cannot source the rackmount kit, we should investigate an alternate shelf-style solution. It needs to be rated for at least 25kg (the official weight of the server), plus a 25% margin of error.
