Description Viktor 2023-07-31 19:23:50 UTC
Hello, I have encountered weird crashes after updating on 4.5.4. They happen irregularly, once in few days, after several hours of uptime. I have not found anything specific that triggers it. Sometimes there are two crashes, the second one seems to be "crash of the crash": it happens while the first crash information is shown. I use latest stable version of Gentoo Linux. I have opened an issue on qbittorrent github, but was advised (don't know if it is true or not) the the tree version is stripped so it cannot produce valid stack trace:

https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/19370

Several bugreports are also posted there by me. Basically, I want to know what I can do to further debug this problem and if it is Gentoo-specific or not.

I cannot reproduce your issues, I'd suggest you to follow https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Debugging to not strip debugging symbols, rebuilding libtorrent and qbittorrent with it and then reporting back upstream.

Did you ever get a chance to complete the process of gathering a stack trace? The last comment on the upstream ticket was quite inconclusive...
