I don't get how this one happened, wonder if the logic for choosing elogind vs systemd in the build system is wrong?
I meant to paste the whole warning: >>> package: dev-libs/icu-73.1-r2 * - /usr/lib64/libicudata.so.72 * - /usr/lib64/libicudata.so.72.1 * used by /usr/bin/pandoc (app-text/pandoc-2.18-r2) * used by /usr/lib64/x86_64-linux-ghc-9.0.2/libHSciteproc-0.7-5EY6nU8aKSkLj3j6ky2GHl-ghc9.0.2.so (dev-haskell/citeproc-0.7) * used by /usr/lib64/x86_64-linux-ghc-9.0.2/libHSpandoc-2.18-K7UHJlJxKKBBEH3LW8AqIa-ghc9.0.2.so (app-text/pandoc-2.18-r2) * used by /usr/lib64/x86_64-linux-ghc-9.0.2/libHStext-icu-0.7.1.0-6kflpHttRe29JjAbf9Y9W-ghc9.0.2.so (dev-haskell/text-icu-0.7.1.0) * - /usr/lib64/libicui18n.so.72 * - /usr/lib64/libicui18n.so.72.1 * used by /usr/bin/pandoc (app-text/pandoc-2.18-r2) * used by /usr/lib64/x86_64-linux-ghc-9.0.2/libHSciteproc-0.7-5EY6nU8aKSkLj3j6ky2GHl-ghc9.0.2.so (dev-haskell/citeproc-0.7) * used by /usr/lib64/x86_64-linux-ghc-9.0.2/libHSpandoc-2.18-K7UHJlJxKKBBEH3LW8AqIa-ghc9.0.2.so (app-text/pandoc-2.18-r2) * used by /usr/lib64/x86_64-linux-ghc-9.0.2/libHStext-icu-0.7.1.0-6kflpHttRe29JjAbf9Y9W-ghc9.0.2.so (dev-haskell/text-icu-0.7.1.0) * - /usr/lib64/libicuuc.so.72 * - /usr/lib64/libicuuc.so.72.1 * used by /usr/bin/pandoc (app-text/pandoc-2.18-r2) * used by /usr/lib64/x86_64-linux-ghc-9.0.2/libHSciteproc-0.7-5EY6nU8aKSkLj3j6ky2GHl-ghc9.0.2.so (dev-haskell/citeproc-0.7) * used by /usr/lib64/x86_64-linux-ghc-9.0.2/libHSpandoc-2.18-K7UHJlJxKKBBEH3LW8AqIa-ghc9.0.2.so (app-text/pandoc-2.18-r2) * used by /usr/lib64/x86_64-linux-ghc-9.0.2/libHStext-icu-0.7.1.0-6kflpHttRe29JjAbf9Y9W-ghc9.0.2.so (dev-haskell/text-icu-0.7.1.0)
(In reply to Penguin from comment #3) > I meant to paste the whole warning: [...] This doesn't look at all relevant to accountsservice or elogind.
Maybe your system didn't succeeded on getting completely updated. I would retry emerge -vuDN world and I would also depclean obsolete packages
(In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #5) > Maybe your system didn't succeeded on getting completely updated. I would > retry emerge -vuDN world and I would also depclean obsolete packages Just ran emerge -vuDN @world and emerge --depclean and the warning still persists. It isn't bothering me. I just thought I should make a bug report.
(In reply to Penguin from comment #6) > Just ran emerge -vuDN @world and emerge --depclean and the warning still > persists. It isn't bothering me. I just thought I should make a bug report. Can you post here the updated new warning after updating and depcleaning? Thanks

(In reply to Penguin from comment #9) > Created attachment 865910 [details] > sync and emerge and depclean # eix-sync && -DNuv @world && emerge --depclean typo, you forgot an 'emerge'
Created attachment 865911 [details] sync and emerge and depclean fixed log

Created attachment 865912 [details] emerge depclean then emerge make Bonus log of me running emerge --depclean and then getting the warnings with emerge make
Are you still hitting this on a fully updated system? (after emerge --sync && emerge -uDN world ...)
(In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #14) > Are you still hitting this on a fully updated system? (after emerge --sync > && emerge -uDN world ...) My hard drive died on the install used to make this bug report, and I've since reinstalled gentoo.(In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #14) > Are you still hitting this on a fully updated system? (after emerge --sync > && emerge -uDN world ...) I am on a new system because my hard drive failed on the old install, but I am no longer getting this warning. Should I close the ticket?
I would do as we couldn't ever reproduce, and I am not sure how the system ended up in that state 🤔
