I don't believe this will be fixed. ESR for 115 is out already, and 102 will receive 2-3 more releases until support for it is gone. If you find a patch to support ffmpeg-6 with 102-ESR then that can be added, but I won't bother chasing this issue.
Could we stable 115 ESR now that ffmpeg-6 is stable please?
Yes, it was the plan to stabilize 115.3.0 which is out today.
Thanks!
Would restricting =firefox-102* to <ffmpeg-6.0 have been or be an option? I did not expect stable firefox + ffmeg to break like this and it took me quite some time to figure it out. Though I suppose, I should check the Gentoo bug tracker more frequently.

Yes, we probably should've done it, although it's a bit late now. But we're stabling new Firefox now.

If it's just a build failure, then it's a cheap and working fix. But if ffmpeg-6 breaks runtime, we'd need to revbump firefox causing everyone to rebuild it regardless... And judging from #c1 it's a runtime issue. Yeah, should've restricted it much earlier :I

Yes, it's a runtime issue, my wording was not ideal. > Yeah, should've restricted it much earlier :I Well, the new stable release is in sight :) Thank you for your efforts!
All done, I think.
