In my setup, I have the following setting: bash$ eselect java-vm list Available Java Virtual Machines: [1] openjdk-bin-11 system-vm [2] openjdk-bin-17 user-vm I emerged a java package, which installed the following binary: #!/bin/bash gjl_package= gjl_java_args= gjl_jar= source /usr/share/java-config-2/launcher/launcher.bash (the file was generated using java-pkg_dolauncher) The "launcher.bash" script does not respect "user-vm" preference.
