After removal of xml/htdocs/doc/en 2.6-koutput-user.xml 2.6-koutput.xml, access to overview.xml leads into 500 internal server error on mentioned languages. This has been caused by the fact that those languages' metadoc.xml are still referring to those non-existing files. Patches will be attached.

I think that's all. I've added the <version> tag to the files where it was missing as well.
Already patched in fi (but darn, forgot to bump the version). But this really needs to be taken care of some other way, we can't have overview.xml breaking whenever something gets deleted. Or at very least someone who updates en/metadoc.xml in these cases needs to update others as well?
re comment 9: it's possible, I'm using metadoc.xml got through Apache as I don't have CVS access (yet, neysx :-) ), so the files might be < 1 hour outdated. If I'm not mistaken, some other languages (it?) are already fixed, too, but they still contain old version. Possible solution could be "don't remove file without prior notice, wait at least x days and *then* remove *and* update metadoc.xml of languages whose maintainers didn't respond".

Thanks for all the trouble of making those patches. It's faster to edit the files than to download, apply, clean up, but thanks anyway. I had looked at the fr/overview.xml only but that one did not actually try to document() the en/2-6-kout*xml files. All traces of 2.6-kout*xml removed, I hope. At the moment, the only way to not have overview.xml break whenever a file is removed is to edit all metadoc.xml files that reference it.
Hmm, same problem after removal of /proj/en/releng/catalyst/reference.xml, blame "wolf31o2" :-). Affected languages are pt_br, da, nl, it, ko and es; others seems fixed (or non-existing :-)).
fixed in pt_br
Well, I plan on "adjusting" the catalyst documentation quite a bit in the near future. I wasn't even aware that anyone had translated any of it. Anyway, I don't have any access to "fix" this, so I'm not sure why I even needed to be added to the CC... *grin* Personally, I would prefer everyone remove any links to any catalyst docs period until after catalyst 2.0 is released, as there will be documentation for both catalyst 1.x and 2.x, as they are different enough to warrant the major version number bump.
re comment 16: I've added you as your commit broke 10 dynamically generated pages under gentoo.org/doc/. Could you please announce on gentoo-doc ml before removing doc files listed in doc/en/metadoc.xml? It is used to keep track of modified files for translators. (But as I'm not a Gentoo developer, feel free to ignore me.)
Sorry, I was unaware that anything under gentoo/proj was mirrored under gentoo/doc, or even linked from there. I'll send out notifications in the future, but I can tell you right now that everything except catalyst's index.xml is going to disappear... ;]
Reopening this bug for a different problem was a bad idea. Fixed anyway.

re comment 19: Sorry, I thought it was similar (well, the reason was almost same).
