I tried to modify wine-20050419.ebuild and i removed the dependancy from media-fonts/corefonts, since it has a MSttfEULA licence and i don't like it.... ;-) I removed corefonts from my system and i successfully emerged wine without the corefonts dependancy. The result is that it works the same as before! :-) I don't know if it works with all applications since i tried it with the only program that i need to run under wine (dvdshrink), but if it works with alt least one application what do you think about introducing a new useflag to disable corefonts dependancy? I don't think is good that a gpl application requires a MSttfEULA one... do you? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 57595 [details] ebuild modified by me this is the ebuild modified by me... i removed only the line related to corefonts dependancy...
i'm pretty sure somethings look horrible w/out the core fonts ... either way you can simply use package.provided if you dont want corefonts on your PC
