CoolerControl with git address https://gitlab.com/coolercontrol/coolercontrol seems a software around lm-sensors, hwmon and app-misc/liquidctl with a daemon to control fan/pump/led values and a GUI to be able to design fan curves around temperature. This seems a very useful thing to have for those who have liquid refrigerators controllable (like Corsair and others) and have little control of them under linux. Specially in Gentoo, which can be very CPU intensive when emerging, for the moment all that can be done is just set the fans to 100% via app-misc/liquidctl but there's no possibility to have it adapted to CPU load/temperature so this package is, in my honest opinion, a must have in Gentoo.
Stephan, since you are the maintainer of app-misc/liquidctl are you interested into maintaining this one?
