The latest and the only available package of Logstash in Gentoo is 7.17.9. However, version 8.7 is out and there's a corresponding note on the package page. While app-misc/elasticsearch has version 8.7.1 available in portage, there's no corresponding version of Logstash. Might be nice to have it as Elasticsearch 8.x have new features available.
