Description Daniel van Eeden 2002-10-13 06:32:58 UTC
I tried the ut2003 gentoo livecd. It didn't work because of my nic. I'm using a
ISA HP100 nic. The kernel module is named hp100.o I tried 'modprobe hp100' wich
works with most dists, then I tried 'updatedb; locate hp100' that didn't return
anything. Can I conclude that my nic isn't supported? If that's the case, would
you please support it in the next release?

The NIC modules were compiled into the kernel for this build. I think you'll
find that if you type "ifconfig -a", you should see that the interface is there.
I'll close this bug as I'm pretty sure this is the issue. If I'm wrong, please
feel free to re-open and I'll investigate further.

You where right....
the real problem is that I was using isa non-pnp cards...which need hp100_port=
instead of irq=
